Los Angeles 2005: Garage gallery (garagegalleryla.com) started as a salon for emerging artists and emerging collectors to come together and really get to know each other. It began with a hand full of friends and grew into a community of artists and neighbors and interested people looking to experience art in a new way.
On this site I bring back some familiar GG faces. I've also added artists from around the world who I have admired and bookmarked for years. I am excited to share all of this exceptional work with you; there is something for everybody here - painting, drawing, prints, and more. Own art!
Thanks,
Ali, Garage Gallery Owner
A NOTE ON SHIPPING
Please allow 2-3 weeks for your art to arrive.
A NOTE ON SIZE
Please look carefully at the size of the artwork you order. I like to take a tape measure and some paper tape and mark out the dimensions on a wall so I am aware of the scope of the piece.
A NOTE ON FRAMING
I often get asked to suggest a frame for a piece of art. A plain black, white or wood (I love to use reclaimed wood) frame ALWAYS works. A vintage frame you find at a thrift shop can also work to add character to the piece.
An important thing to remember is to replace the glass with UV plexi (any frame store will do that for you) if the art is hung anywhere near a window. Matting is also a creative part of the framing process, although the general rule is to use a white or off white mat. You can always use a thick mat (or even 2 different colored mats) to make your artwork larger on the wall.
